Jillian Michaels is an excellent fitness expert in USA, who has become famous for her role as a personal trainer on the NBC reality television series "The Biggest Loser".
Jillian was significantly overweight in her teens. Her mother then put her in martial arts classes. This initial attempt of keeping herself physically fit became a turning point in Jillian Michaels’ life.
She has received two personal-training certificates from the United States’ leading certification programs: the National Endurance and Strength Training Association and the American Fitness Association.
Jillian Michaels has also received a black belt in martial arts such as Muay Thai and Akarui-Do.
Jillian started her career as a motion picture literary agent for ICM, one of the top five talent agencies in Los Angeles. But her love for martial arts made her to think about shifting her career as a personal trainer in martial arts.
Her zeal to solve the problems of overweight individuals soon overshadowed any other job. Jillian finally left her job and focused solely on personal training.
Jillian’s martial arts training program includes heavy training in martial arts like Muay Thai and Akarui-Do. She is also skilled in using nunchaku.
In 2004, Michaels appeared on NBC’s television reality show "The Biggest Loser" [71 episodes: 2005-2009] as one of three weekly personalities along with host Caroline Rhea and fellow trainer Bob Harper.
"The Biggest Loser" is a special show meant for overweight individuals who participate in various tasks and diet plans in an attempt to lose the most weight possible. The contestant who looses highest percentage of their body weight will be awarded $250,000.
